2018 Juneteenth Recap

Detroit's inaugural Juneteenth Festival LLC  was  founded by Detroit natives to celebrate June 19, 1865 when the last of the slaves were freed in the state of Texas. The festival featured an opening parade, live music, poetry, children’s fair, food, beverage and product vendors.
